We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Edmonton facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Your Role: Ensuring Operational ExcellenceAs a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our waste management facility. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Driving plant availability through meticulous execution of preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and process improvements.
- Implementing best practices in engineering, compliance, and health & safety standards.
- Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including process engineers and SCADA controllers, on maintenance and repair projects.
- Staying abreast of industry advancements in waste management technologies and best practices.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A proven track record in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with pump operations, welding, condition monitoring, and PPMs.
- Proficiency in interpreting OEM manuals, schematic drawings, and layout diagrams.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, lifting operations, and conveyor systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.
