McLaren Automotive is seeking an experienced technical lead to join our New Model Launch team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing first-hand support in the development and launch into production of future McLaren Automotive vehicle platforms and variants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise in the development and launch of new vehicle platforms and variants.
  • Support early prototype build phases, including virtual builds.
  • Train and mentor technicians and team members to achieve high-quality working practices and processes.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of production and business processes.
  • Provide cover for absence within the team and have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to and that all team members are using the correct protective clothing.
Requirements:
  • Broad knowledge of automotive processes and specific skills for the area in question.
  • Understanding of niche vehicle brands, ideally experience working on McLaren products.
  • Foundation degree in engineering or technical background in an engineering discipline.
  • Quality-focused with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good level of knowledge for Microsoft Office packages.
  • Training in COSHH awareness.
