About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in Gloucestershire, providing high-quality care to individuals accessing our substance misuse services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough healthcare assessments for new and existing service users, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including dry blood spot testing, Hepatitis B vaccinations, and Hepatitis C treatment referrals.
  • Support service users in achieving their health goals, including referrals to relevant services such as Smoking Cessation and the Falls Clinic.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills, including ECGs and nursing qualifications.
Requirements
  • Passion for working with substance misuse services or vulnerable populations.
  • Experience in substance misuse or social care settings.
  • Strong understanding of quality service delivery and harm reduction interventions.
  • Proficiency in IT, including word processing and data entry.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel between services.
