Role Responsibilities:

The Loss Prevention team is crucial to our large-scale distribution operations. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will undertake a variety of essential tasks daily. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the team to maintain warehouse security at all times. Given our operations run 24/7, ensuring the safety and protection of our facilities, personnel, inventory, and vehicles is our utmost priority.

You will serve as the initial point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, overseeing access to the site for deliveries and vehicle loads to minimize stock loss.

This diverse role will involve monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, as well as conducting searches of individuals and vehicles to deter theft and prevent inventory loss. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you may also need to handle incidents calmly and professionally, completing detailed reports and statements. You will report directly to your Loss Prevention Manager and be responsible for effectively communicating any security risks and incidents.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Loss Prevention team. While being a team player, you should possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to building and maintaining strong working relationships with visitors, management, and employees.

A proactive attitude and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential in this fast-paced warehouse environment, especially when addressing potentially challenging situations involving conflict.

Candidates must have a minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google suites.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be necessary for this position, and candidates must be willing to undergo First Aid training as required.
