Marketing Manager EU Events Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced events marketing professional to join our team as Marketing Manager for our EU events portfolio. This is a maternity cover contract, lasting 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EU events marketing strategy
  • Manage the Events Marketing team and allocate workload
  • Run simultaneous event marketing campaigns
  • Achieve revenue targets for EU events portfolio through marketing activity
  • Manage the Marketing team to deliver on revenue and delegate attendance targets
  • Track and control budgets across the EU portfolio
  • Create, edit, and proof promotional materials, including emails, interviews, and press releases
  • Manage key strategic media and association partners
  • Increase the profile of conferences across industries
  • Manage marketing campaigns for 4-5 large-scale events
  • Develop and execute regular email marketing activity, including HTML manipulation
  • Partnerships: fulfill agreements with partners, conduct desk research, and maintain contact details
  • Update event websites, create online banners, and resize logos/photos
  • Produce marketing literature for events
  • Market research and data management: segment data, manage lists, and track preferences and unsubscribes
  • Media and social media: utilize news resources to fuel content and social media campaign elements

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing or related field
  • Experience in managing direct marketing campaigns and B2B marketing
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Proven experience with social media or SEO
  • Familiarity with Google analytics and metric analysis
  • Intermediate Photoshop skill level; Dreamweaver and HTML coding skills advantageous
  • Confidence in using CRM and Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel for data manipulation
  • Event and conference industry experience a plus
  • A self-assured negotiator with confidence in dealing with media and supporting partners
