Scope of Work:

Kent is seeking a Primary Steel Lead (Jackets) to be based in one of our UK offices.

This role involves the FEED and Detailed Design of Wind Turbine Generator Foundations for an Offshore Wind Farm in European waters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capable of executing general tasks independently while adhering to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Assists the Project Management Team in planning, identifying technical challenges that may hinder progress and affect project budgets, and liaising with the client.
  • As a Lead Engineer, oversee engineering design for FEED and detailed design projects by guiding and directing the broader technical team.
  • Hold technical accountability for all primary structural engineering tasks.
  • Able to devise solutions for technically complex and/or high-profile challenges, with support from the Engineering Manager and/or Project Manager.
  • Engage in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provide necessary engineering insights to resolve outstanding actions.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with client specifications and suggest cost-effective enhancements to equipment selection/specifications within the framework of client requirements.
  • Undertake related duties as directed by the Direct Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Extensive relevant experience in engineering/client organizations within the Energy sector.
  • Chartered Status is preferred. Significant experience in Engineering/Client organizations in the Offshore Wind sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with FEED and detailed design projects for offshore fixed bottom foundations.
  • Understanding of safety and quality protocols and best practices.
  • Competence in activity scheduling and project prioritization.
