About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Dalata Hotel Group PLC. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and upkeep.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Proactively manage daily workloads, ensuring effective use of available resources, including painting, decorating, and gardening.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Carry out maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines, as per departmental requirements in tiling, plumbing, carpentry, and other areas.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve process, equipment, instrumentation, and control system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Procedure Updates: Ensure all maintenance procedures are kept up to date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Carry out repairs in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  • Collaboration: Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions in hotel systems, and provide guidance to contractors employed to work in the hotel.
  • Teamwork: Assist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services.
  • Communication: Interact with all departments of the hotel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate the delivery of all Maintenance Management support services.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and safety standards possible, adhering to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous hospitality experience is desirable, with a strong understanding of facilities management principles and practices.
  • Qualifications: Qualifications in one or more trades, including painting, gardening, heating, plumbing, and construction, are desirable.
  • Skills and Abilities: Self-motivation, ability to prioritize work, standards-driven, detail-oriented, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, flexibility regarding working hours, and a good command of the English language.
