Lancaster University is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to the INFUZE project, a £7.8m five-year research programme grant funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (UKRI-EPSRC).
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team working across the Universities of Leeds, Lancaster, and the Royal College of Art (RCA) to achieve transformative change in how transport works, addressing the climate challenge while improving fairness and quality of life.
Key responsibilities will include contributing to the development of an innovative science of participatory urban mobility transitions, working with a wide range of publics, and supporting activities related to work package 1 (WP1) Co-Design.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, experience in conducting independent and collaborative research, and a strong background in qualitative social sciences methods. Excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, are essential.
This is a 1.0 FTE position for 60 months, starting on 1 September 2024, or soon thereafter. The successful candidate will be based jointly in the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) and the Centre for Social Futures (CSF), Lancaster University.
