Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications and Events Executive to join our team at Babraham Research Campus. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in delivering our communication strategies and campaigns, taking our strong brand to the next level.

About the Role: This is a hands-on position requiring strong relationships with stakeholders and partners at all levels. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Event Planning and Promotion: Assist in planning and promoting events, including inputting ideas to our annual events calendar. Prepare event materials and help ensure successful event execution.
  • Content Creation and Editing: Develop, write, and edit content for various communication channels, including newsletters, website content, Campus app, and social media posts. Ensure that all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with our messaging and branding.
  • Social Media Management: Assist in creating and executing social media strategies to increase engagement and reach. Monitor and maintain social media platforms, responding to comments and messages.
  • Internal Communications: Support internal communication efforts by creating and distributing newsletters, announcements, and other internal materials. Collaborate with Campus company stakeholders (communications teams) to ensure that Campus employees are well-informed and engaged.
  • Reporting: Conduct regular reporting on the engagement and growth of digital channels, including the website, social media, and internal channels (Campus app). Compile and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Project Management: Assist with the creation of campaign plans, ensuring project milestones are achieved on-time and within budget.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a communications or events role.
  • Strong relationships with stakeholders and partners at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills.
