Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and be able to manage projects from start to completion.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Estimate and take off quantities for construction projects.
  2. Prepare enquiries, analyze, and put together tenders.
  3. Attend meetings with clients, site meetings, and subcontractors.
  4. Manage subcontractors, including orders, payments, and final accounts.
  5. Oversee projects from start to completion, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
  6. Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are met, including preparing site files, RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, and Lift Plans.
  7. Monitor on-site changes and variations.
  8. Provide technical advice across all stages of the development process, assessing risks, validating costs, and carrying out site inspections.
  9. Perform general tasks to support the business.
Requirements for the Position
  1. Full UK Driving licence.
  2. Quantity surveying Qualification.
  3. CSCS Card.
  4. Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law.
  5. Knowledge of cost forecasting and reporting, cost control, cost risk management, contract documentation preparation, and contract administration.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure.
  7. Ability to communicate confidently.
  8. Technically minded.
  9. Ability to use own initiative, as well as working as part of a team.
  10. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
