Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our team at Kingsmead Homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and be able to manage projects from start to finish.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and prepare tenders, including analysing and preparing enquiries
  • Attend meetings with clients, site meetings, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression
  • Manage subcontractors, including orders, payments, and final accounts
  • Oversee projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice across all stages of the development process
  • Assess risks, validate costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Perform general tasks to support the business
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Quantity surveying qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate confidently
  • Technically minded and able to use own initiative
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
