About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our onshore Enercon wind turbines throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Carry out repair or replacement of main components, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Complete all computerized documentation and reports, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the operational integrity and safety of generation assets are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Uphold and drive a positive safety culture through your onsite actions.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated history of electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair.
  • Formal qualification in electrical discipline (minimum NVQ level 3) or formal qualification in mechanical discipline (ideally NVQ level 3) with relevant electrical experience.
  • A good level of computer literacy.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and at heights of 100 meters.
  • Enjoy and able to work in small teams.
  • Creative and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently with remote management and take responsibility for project delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly verbal communication.
  • Very organized – able to multi-task effectively.
  • Good time management & personal organizational skills.
  • Accuracy, Tenacity & Integrity.
  • High level of aptitude towards technology and process development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
