**Job Summary**

Metro, a leading provider of industry-leading logistics and supply chain management services, is seeking an experienced Airfreight Import Coordinator to join our team on the Birmingham Business Park.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop a clear financial understanding of each job file(s) within your remit, ensuring accurate and timely creation and issuance of deliveries and documentation.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and an in-depth understanding of the Profit and Loss (P&L) of a job, ensuring freighting and invoicing accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, airlines, and overseas partners/agents, ensuring adherence to Metro's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that Metro's policies and procedures are adhered to, and that airline storage is never incurred for Metro's account.
  • Meet company policies for freighting/rating accuracy and timing, and respond to purchase queries within the company policy time frames.

**Requirements**

  • Strong numerical and commercial skills, with excellent usage of computer/operating system (Microsoft Windows) and other office applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated, with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
