Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking an Export Compliance Lead to join their dynamic team, responsible for overseeing all facets of Export Compliance, with a primary focus on UK Export Control and associated regulations. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential guidance to various business functions to ensure adherence to trade control laws and regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer specialized advice on compliance with both UK and international import/export legislation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate trade compliance considerations into projects from inception
  • Ensure accurate Control List Classification and Customs Classifications
  • Oversee Export Control and Trade Compliance elements related to Equipment and Technology
  • Conduct training sessions on Trade Compliance topics
  • Lead the Trade Compliance team to guarantee full regulatory compliance
  • Prepare documentation including draft Voluntary Disclosures
  • Assist with internal and external audits concerning Export Control and Trade Compliance

Required Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in export control and trade compliance
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK Export Licensing and international import/export regulations
  • Effective presentation skills and proficiency in computer applications
  • Experience in managing meetings and effective communication

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with SAP ERP and trade compliance within the aerospace, defense, and security sectors

This position requires full-time use of display screen equipment in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. The Export Compliance Lead will operate from Leonardo's facility and will support Electronics business operations across the UK.
