Role Overview

The Senior Engineer within the Seal Technology team is responsible for defining and implementing engineering solutions. This role requires adherence to TechnipFMC's standards and processes, with a strong focus on quality, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a small team to innovate new products and enhance existing equipment for the Seal Technology product line.
  • Engage with the entire value chain to optimize costs, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design initiatives.
  • Deliver presentations to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop prototypes of new products throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify challenges during project execution and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Regularly update supervisors on project status and key decisions.
  • Monitor expenditures, budgets, and forecasts for assigned projects.
  • Maintain a personal project schedule and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conduct prototyping and final qualification testing in a laboratory environment.
  • Report directly to the Seal Technology Value Stream NPD/PLM Team Lead/Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Strong focus on detailed mechanical design and qualification, with a solid understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies.
  • Comprehension of economic factors impacting product development, alongside knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, qualification, and testing processes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical designs and documentation.
  • Experience working with global teams to implement complex solutions within existing product lines.
  • Familiarity with API 6A/17D standards is preferred.
  • Proficient in meeting deadlines and managing priorities effectively.
  • Strong presentation and coaching abilities.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
