Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the despatch and delivery process, ensuring that all orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
  • Oversee the running of delivery notes and goods inwards, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded and stored.
  • Implement and maintain effective stock control and management systems, ensuring that stock levels are always up to date.
  • Coordinate the picking of items from stock and ensure that all orders are prepared for delivery.
  • Ensure that all routes are prepared for departure in the morning, and that vehicles are loaded safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and control the day's deliveries and paperwork, ensuring that all tasks are completed and that the warehouse is left in a tidy and organized state.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that deliveries are allocated effectively and that vehicles leave on time.
  • Prepare and despatch orders by courier/mail, and record all delivery and despatch information.
  • Support holidays and absence with driver cover for deliveries as required.

Requirements:

  • Forklift licence
  • Clean Full UK driving licence
