Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator role is a pivotal position within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and proficiency in leadership capabilities, effectively communicating with all levels of staff and external partners.

This role involves overseeing various operational areas, providing support to colleagues during their absences, and assisting the Logistics Manager in managing the fleet and team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to facilitate the management of fleet operations and transportation services for employees within healthcare organizations.

This includes supporting a diverse range of vehicles, from electric bicycles to larger transport vehicles, while ensuring compliance with legal standards, enhancing procurement processes, and optimizing fleet usage and efficiency.

The Logistics Coordinator will also provide supervisory assistance to team members, maintaining an overview of services and acting as the primary contact for specific service elements.

Utilizing various web-based and internal data management systems will be essential for maintaining accurate and auditable records.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

  • NVQ level 4 in administration or equivalent qualifications/experience in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in keyboard and computer skills, ideally to ECDL standards
  • Competency in Mathematics and English at 'GCSE' level

Preferred

  • Experience in administrative roles within a logistics or transport setting
