We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Outreach Officer to join our team at Discovering42, a pioneering nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting art, science, and sustainability in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging sustainability and science-themed workshops for various age groups and learning levels.
  • Contribute to the design and development of exhibits and workshops, ensuring a high level of quality and innovation.
  • Coordinate with councils, organizations, and schools to schedule bookings and manage logistics.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient setup and maintenance of exhibits, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Represent Discovering42 and foster positive relationships with schools, students, and the broader community.
Requirements
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for community, sustainability, and science education.
  • Experience in public speaking, education, outreach, or a related field.
  • Confident DIY/maker skills and strong organizational and logistical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
