Field Service Engineer for Stoneblower Operations

OBJECTIVE
- Perform maintenance and repairs on the Stoneblower machinery fleet.
- Ensure machines are maintained according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Optimize machine operational readiness.
- Assist the Stoneblower Field Service Manager in meeting performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications
Personal Attributes and Skills
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in an engineering field or equivalent qualification as a mechanical, electrical, or maintenance engineer.
- Possession of a professional qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience in the railway sector is preferred.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, along with fault diagnosis and repair skills.
- Proficient in IT, including familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Understanding of calibration and operation of rail plant machinery.
- Competent in current maintenance standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and solution identification.

- Completion of maintenance and repairs within designated timeframes.
- Performance assessment of machines post-repair and maintenance.
- Accurate inventory audits of service van equipment and spare parts.

- Timely completion of administrative tasks.
- Submission of completed maintenance documentation.
- Quality assurance of maintenance records.
Responsibilities
- Repair machinery to surpass performance targets and KPIs.
- Report any machine defects and carry out repairs within the scope of the role.
- Complete planned maintenance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the Field Service Manager by providing necessary inspection information.
- Maintain a work environment that complies with 5S standards.
- Notify the Field Service Manager of any issues beyond your control promptly.
- Operate machinery for maintenance tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Take responsibility for the care of company assets.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
- Participate in training as necessary.
- Adhere to competence assessment systems.
- Follow the Company Code of Conduct.

- Comply with company standards relevant to Stoneblower maintenance.
- Participate in safety tours and inspections as required.
- Contribute to the company’s health, safety, and environmental improvement plans.
- Only undertake work for which you have received appropriate training and certification.
- Adhere to risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Utilize all personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- Cooperate with your employer on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Address unsafe conditions where practical and challenge unsafe practices.
- Report and assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.
