Budwood, a leading provider of residential care and support services, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support and care to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, adhering to our policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, and be available for ad-hoc cover.
- Ability to work as part of a small team, providing individualized support and care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field (desirable).
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential).
