Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support, case work, and activity facilitation to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with individuals using the recovery model to promote independence and well-being.
  • Provide holistic support, including one-to-one and group work, to address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships built on trust, respect, and empathy.
  • Ensure social inclusion and promote community engagement.
  • Support individuals with housing and tenancy-related needs, including daily living skills and independent living.
  • Contribute to administrative duties and housing management tasks.
  • Drive development work and liaise with community groups to provide activities and services.
Requirements:
  • Paid or unpaid experience of supporting individuals with mental health needs is essential.
  • A strong work ethic, duty of care, and commitment to a positive approach.
  • A full clean driving licence and access to a car.
  • Flexibility to work predominantly Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with some evening and weekend shifts.
