**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health Economist to join our team at Consult. As a key member of our Health Economics department, you will play a critical role in demonstrating and communicating the value of our allocated product portfolio to national payers, thereby removing barriers to market access.
Key Responsibilities
- **Develop and Implement Market Access Plans**: Lead the development, review, and refinement of UK/Ireland National Market Access Plans for products in collaboration with various internal stakeholders.
- **Optimize HTA Strategy**: Recommend the optimal HTA strategy and lead all aspects of the HTA process for allocated products in UK/Ireland, a business-critical process for achieving market access.
- **Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Take a prominent role in cross-functional Franchise teams and be a recognized authority, ensuring that Market Access is integral to brand strategy and tactics.
- **Communicate Value Proposition**: Proactively produce and disseminate high-quality materials that communicate the value of products to national payers.
- **Ensure Compliance**: Be conversant and fully compliant with ABPI and IPHA codes of practice and SOPs.
- **Horizon Scanning**: Timely and accurate delivery of horizon scanning information on pipeline products, ensuring Market Access input during early-stage product development and assessment.
- **Technical Expertise**: Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of HE modeling and value communication & implementation using a variety of channels.
- **Center of Excellence**: Demonstrate Centre Of Excellence behaviors by providing leading input to, and adaptation of (where appropriate), Corporate HEOR materials ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and relevant to the UK/Ireland setting and the ABPI code of practice. Commissioning and managing large projects with third-party vendors and both internal and external stakeholders. Foster the in-house development and training of other health economists.
Requirements
- **Education**: At least MSc in Health Economics or equivalent discipline.
- **Strategic Thinking**: Able to work at a strategic level within cross-functional teams.
- **Technical Skills**: Good working knowledge and practical experience of:
• All methods of economic evaluation
• The requirements and processes of HTA bodies including NICE and the SMC
• UK and Ireland market access barriers
• Development of payer materials that can be used to support market access
• Training cross-functional teams (informal)
