About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse needs, particularly in the areas of Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised support to students with complex needs related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour, ensuring their individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are effectively implemented.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging curriculum that addresses the specific challenges associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour across various subjects, including outdoor education.
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being, with a focus on addressing anxiety and behaviour challenges.
Requirements:
- A deep comprehension of the diverse needs associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.
- An ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of individual students, particularly those facing mental health challenges.
- A patient and understanding approach, when facing challenging behaviour.
- A proactive and open mindset, working in a multidisciplinary team.
