International Shipping Specialist - Join a Leading Relocation Firm


Are you a skilled Export Coordinator looking for a fresh challenge with a prominent global relocation company? Our client, a significant player in the UK's relocation sector, is enhancing their team and seeking a motivated Export Coordinator/Shipping Specialist to become part of their cohesive and dynamic group.


Key Responsibilities:
• Efficiently arrange quotations for local offices on international relocations from the UK to various overseas locations.
• Input shipment details into the company's custom operational database.
• Calculate and verify sea freight and delivery costs.

• Confirm operational specifics with the local office (Member) and/or receiving agent (destination company) as required.

• Collaborate with the local office (Member) to ensure all essential customs, contact, insurance, and contract information is accurate.

• Ensure timely receipt of all documents by the receiving agent for customs clearance and bonding in accordance with ISO and FAIM standards.

• Coordinate deliveries with agents and dispatch all necessary documentation.
• Communicate all pertinent information to both overseas agents and local members.
• Update the computer system and files to maintain accurate information.
• Generate sales invoices and authorize purchase invoices for payment as needed.
• Work with the accounts department to ensure timely payments to suppliers (e.g., sea freight companies).
• Monitor and implement any changes to customs regulations as necessary.

• Track fluctuations in freight rates and exchange rates, updating as needed, and inform the local office of any implications for customer pricing.

• Ensure the system is consistently updated with the latest developments, including changes to pricing, transit times, and involved companies.


Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a busy exports/shipping department.
• Proficient in database systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a dynamic, service-oriented team focused on achieving targets.
• Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail with the capability to quickly and accurately produce quotations and maintain effective administrative practices.
• Ability to effectively liaise with international agents.
• Outgoing and personable, with strong relationship-building abilities.

Position Remuneration:
Salary:
£30,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)

Working hours:
Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
28 days holiday, including bank holidays
Christmas shut-down period
Royal London pension scheme
