{"About the Role": "We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Director of Governance and Data Protection. As a key member of our Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the governance and data protection landscape within our organisation.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide independent advice on legal and ethical issues affecting the Corporation, ensuring that we operate within our legal powers and evaluate our governance effectiveness.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws, developing and maintaining data protection policies, and managing data breaches and handling FOI requests.

If you have a relevant degree or professional qualification, experience in governance and knowledge of data protection legislation, and strong organisational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide independent advice on legal and ethical issues affecting the Corporation
* Ensure the Corporation operates within its legal powers and evaluate its governance effectiveness
