Data Governance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Compliance Specialist to join our team at InfoSec People Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and driving our data governance and data management agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Advice: Offer expert guidance on projects and business change activities to ensure alignment with our data standards.
- Data Standards Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine our UK&I data standards, ensuring alignment with global and regional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Governance: Contribute to the adoption of data standards across the organization, influencing the maturity and accountability of compliance to these standards.
- Thematic Analysis and Remediation: Analyze identified processing and control activities at a thematic level, working with Risk & Governance teams to develop remediation plans and monitor progress.
- Controls and Monitoring Assurance: Create and maintain the Controls and Monitoring Assurance plan, providing clear metrics to demonstrate progress and drive required outcomes.
- Governance Record Keeping and Operational Controls: Own and create the governance record keeping improvement plan, deploying enhanced operational controls through changes to Data360, with supporting education and communication.
- Data Management Best-Practice: Knowledge of data governance, data security, data quality, and data loss prevention.
- Policy Frameworks and Business Process Management: Up-to-date knowledge of policy frameworks and business process management.
- Risk Management Practices: Knowledge of risk management practices, audit, process, control management, and monitoring best practice.
- Data Legislation: Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to data, such as Data Protection legislation.
- Decision-Making and Communication: Experience of making sound and far-reaching decisions, taking responsibility for them, and implementing within the business.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, with the ability to listen, influence, and engage across the organization.
