About this Opportunity

This role sits within the Finance Chief Control Office and presents an exciting opportunity to lead the SOX Business Partnering team for Group Finance Support (GFS) & Finance Data Analytics Office (FDAO). In this role, you'll coordinate and deliver a broad range of activities that focus on how GFS & FDAO meet their SOX requirements, along with contributing to overall risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shaping and leading the SOX business partnering team for GFS & FDAO, working with key stakeholders across the GFS & FDAO finance teams, as well as our Group Finance Risk, Audit & CCOR risk partners.
  • Critically reviewing our existing SOX approach, building on the quality and type of controls; identifying, recommending, and delivering on areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring our SOX scope is regularly refreshed to reflect business and regulatory change.
  • Coordinating and planning risk and control assessments, mapping of key processes and controls, remediation actions, and providing guidance across the end-to-end GFS & FDAO finance processes.
  • Providing guidance, reviewing, and challenging to process and control owners in the application of the Risk Management framework for the GFS & FDAO finance teams.
  • Delivering the Finance SOX strategy, driving business strategic requirements, and building partnerships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Need
  • Professional qualification in a related field (audit, risk management, accounting) with in-depth specialist risk capabilities, professional knowledge, and financial competence.
  • Detailed understanding of the principles around SOX framework & methodology.
  • Good knowledge of all key risk types and of SOX and its application in relation to financial services.
  • Experience of managing a team, including development & delivery of a high-performing team.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience around contribution to the strategic direction of the Group (or equivalent).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with people at all levels.
  • Deliver influential insight, challenge, and advice while building collaborative relationships across the Group.
