Executive Culinary Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at La Cucina, a family-run restaurant with over 50 years of history and a reputation for excellence. Our current Head Chef is moving on to a new venture, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about food and has the ability to carry our kitchen forward during this transitional period.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fresh food kitchens, with at least 3 years of experience as a Head Chef in a similar establishment with a Rosette level rating. They will have a proven track record of running a professional kitchen, including managing budgets, GP systems, and maintaining a 5-star Food Hygiene rating.

We are looking for a candidate with a "can-do" attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. They will be eager to develop seasonal menus with full autonomy and have a true passion for food and a desire to lead and develop their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Manage kitchen budgets, GP systems, and maintain a 5-star Food Hygiene rating
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to drive business growth and excellence

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Head Chef in a similar establishment with a Rosette level rating
  • Proven track record of running a professional kitchen, including managing budgets and GP systems
  • 5-star Food Hygiene rating
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
