Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Procurement Planner to join our team at William Grant & Sons. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring the success of our procurement operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop key opportunities, and mitigate forecast risks, to achieve business strategy and current year targets.
  2. Lead Demand Review meetings in key markets, utilizing the S&OP process to drive demand planning and forecasting.
  3. Analyse trends and seasonal profiles to support and advise commercial teams on demand plan revisions.
  4. Ensure demand is aligned with global allocations policy and process through regular reviews with commercial teams and the Allocations Planner.
  5. Develop and maintain a rolling 18-month demand forecast using statistical modeling, analysing market and purchase plans, historical sales data, brand changes, new product development, and obsolete products.
  6. Support Supply Chain KPIs, such as inventory and obsolescence, through active involvement in product lifecycle management.
  7. Accountable for reporting and influencing MAPE and BIAS within the demand plan at SKU, Market, and Regional levels.
  8. Maintain a proper process framework and detailed process documentation with the appropriate governance structure.
  9. Develop depletion forecasting in appropriate markets and manage the accuracy and robustness of the forecasting Database.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, experience in demand planning or supply chain management, and strong analytical skills. Key attributes include:

  • Proven track record in demand forecasting, market trend analysis, and managing product lifecycles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency in managing MAPE and BIAS metrics, and advanced Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to lead Demand Review meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • This candidate will excel in data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining efficient processes to meet business targets.
