MacTaggart Scott is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful sourcing and management of goods and services to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of our procurement strategy, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including production planning, goods in, and quality departments, to ensure seamless stock and order planning.
  • Contribute to the achievement of company-wide material rationalization objectives, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage the procurement process, including bid completion, quotation analysis, and supplier management.
  • Support the delivery of our outsourced process supply chain, from need identification to contract management and supplier onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely procurement data is maintained on our systems, including ERP, to support informed decision-making.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
