3D Design Manager

Our client, a leading design and manufacturer of sheet metal fabricated products for the construction industries, is seeking an experienced Design Manager / Drawing Office Manager to manage close-knit design teams in their Thetford and Hertford facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Take overall responsibility for the Hertford and Thetford drawings offices.
- Plan and delegate design work throughout both drawing offices to ensure drawings are produced in accordance with timescales, quality, and customer requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that designs meet commercial, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Review current processes and software, and seek opportunities for improvements.
- Oversee recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, and one-to-one meetings within the design teams.
- Produce KPI reports from the team for the head of projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD and 3D software such as Inventor or Solidworks.
- Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment, with knowledge of CAM software such as Radan or TruTops.
- Willingness to travel between the Hertford and Thetford sites.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000.
- Company Laptop & Phone.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (3 days to be taken at Christmas).
