Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Starting Off. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient and effective running of our office and financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively collect and manage overdue debts, ensuring timely communication with customers.
  2. Process and send invoices, statements, and other financial documents as required.
  3. Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  4. Investigate and resolve customer queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in our finance system.
  6. Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve credit limit and payment issues.
  7. Run monthly statements and perform other financial tasks as required.
  8. Support the Purchase Ledger team with processing purchase orders, invoices, and resolving queries.
  9. Ensure all incoming post is processed and distributed efficiently.
  10. Complete end-of-day invoicing and perform other administrative tasks as required.
  11. Assist the Sales department with calls and other tasks as needed.
  12. Ensure all filing is accurate and up-to-date.
  13. Perform general office administration tasks as required.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1 year of experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
  2. Excellent credit control skills and phone manner.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  5. Experience with Sage 200/50 is advantageous.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  8. Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  9. Positive attitude and approach to work.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working in person at our office location.

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
