About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the Wayman Learning Trust team on a full-time basis. This is a permanent position that will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers in the delivery of high-quality lessons and contributing to the development of curriculum materials.
  • Leading small group interventions and providing one-on-one support to students as needed, with a focus on promoting academic achievement and social growth.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of learning activities, including the development of educational resources and materials.
  • Managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment, with a focus on creating a safe and inclusive space for all students.
  • Contributing to the assessment and tracking of student progress, with a focus on identifying areas of strength and weakness and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Covering classes in the absence of the teacher when required, with a focus on maintaining continuity and ensuring that students receive high-quality instruction.

About You:

  • A Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for supporting student learning and development.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting, with a focus on developing strong relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the Wayman Learning Trust team.
