Job Title: Sprinkler Design Engineer

Location: Remote

Salary: £25 - £35 per hour

Bowdon Associates Ltd is a specialist recruitment agency that connects top talent with leading businesses. Our client is a renowned sprinkler system design business seeking an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing fire protection systems for various sectors, including commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and industrial environments. Key responsibilities include collaborating with clients, architects, and project teams to gather design requirements, designing fire sprinkler systems in compliance with relevant codes and regulations, and creating detailed system drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams to gather design requirements.
  • Design fire sprinkler systems in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Create detailed system drawings, 3D modelling, and material specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and field personnel.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the field of fire protection engineering.
  • 3D experience is preferable.
  • Minimum of a degree or HND in a suitable discipline.
  • Minimum of LPCB Basic design qualification.
  • LPCB Intermediate and FHC design qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of LPC sprinkler rules is essential.
  • Knowledge of FM & NFPA standards would be an advantage.
  • Relevant technical design experience and the preparation of technical documentation and drawings.
  • Experience of water mist, hydrants, and dry/wet riser systems would be an advantage.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience of HydraCAD, Autosprink, or another relevant design software would be an advantage.
