Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a variety of courses focused on Electrical Installation, including T Level BSE (Building Services Engineering) or similar;
  • Engage in high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices;
  • Maintain precise documentation regarding student progress within the institution.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess a Level 3 qualification or higher (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering, alongside a minimum of 5 years of industry experience with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation;
  • Achieve GCSE Grade C (4/5) in both English and Mathematics;
  • Hold a PGCE or demonstrate a commitment to obtain one;
  • Demonstrate proven expertise in electronic and electrical systems, including industrial applications, power systems, fault diagnosis, and control mechanisms;
  • Exhibit an understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the workplace and educational settings;
  • Maintain current occupational experience;
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS check.

We encourage applications from newly qualified educators and current industry professionals lacking formal teaching qualifications. New hires will participate in a Lecturer Development Programme designed to provide tailored support and training based on prior experience and individual requirements. This programme includes comprehensive support and development opportunities, such as orientation related to institutional systems and processes, assignment of a curriculum mentor, and regular one-on-one assistance from the Quality team. Industry professionals without teaching qualifications will receive support to complete a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, with opportunities to pursue a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
