Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a variety of courses in Electrical Installations, including T Level BSE (Building Services Engineering) or equivalent;
  • Engage in innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies;
  • Maintain precise documentation of student progress within the institution.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 or higher (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience with a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation;
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Mathematics;
  • Possession of a PGCE or a commitment to pursue one;
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic and electrical systems, including industrial applications, power and electronics, troubleshooting procedures, and control systems;
  • Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles in both work and educational settings;
  • Current industry experience;
  • Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check.

We encourage applications from newly qualified educators and current industry professionals lacking a teaching qualification. New staff members will participate in a Lecturer Development Programme, which offers a range of support and training tailored to individual experiences and needs. This programme includes comprehensive induction related to institutional systems and processes, assignment of a curriculum mentor, and regular one-on-one support from the Quality team. Industry specialists without a teaching qualification will receive assistance in obtaining a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, with opportunities to pursue a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
