About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Brent Housing Management. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing multi-million pound contracts for major works, refurbishment, repairs, voids, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate budget management and processing for contractor repairs, voids work requests, and applications
- Develop and negotiate contracts with contractors, suppliers, in-house departments, and consultants
- Develop performance and monitoring systems for budget forecasting, variance reporting, volume performance, and KPIs
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with providers, partners, and stakeholders
- Assist in preparing the Housing Asset Management Strategy, investment options, cost modelling, and work programmes
- Manage assigned projects or programmes, ensuring agreed outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected standard
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in developing effective contract specifications and procurement documents
- Thorough knowledge of procurement legislation, social housing maintenance, and refurbishment contracts
- Strong budget management experience and proven experience working with contractors and consultants in a service delivery environment
- Excellent understanding of the financial and technical aspects of contracts, contract procurement, and accounting
