Job Title: General Practitioner

McLaren Racing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our McLaren Performance Hub (MPH) team. As a GP at McLaren Racing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and performance of our employees.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, driving performance by elevating the health and wellbeing of the entire McLaren Racing Team. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) alongside physiotherapists, mental health practitioners, occupational health nurses, and exercise rehabilitation instructors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide healthcare services tailored to the needs of McLaren Racing employees, including clinical consultations, assessments, and management of primary care clinical cases.
  2. Maintain accurate medical records for all employees using electronic patient records.
  3. Promote and adhere to the principles of clinical governance.
  4. Uphold the highest standards of medical confidentiality at all times.
  5. Work seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and optimise employee health and performance.
  6. Promote a culture of health and well-being within McLaren Racing, offering preventative care advice and guidance.
  7. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient needs and medical history.
Requirements:
  1. Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  2. Listed on GMC Specialist Register for primary care.
  3. Be up to date with annual appraisal process and revalidation cycle.
  4. Qualified GP with experience in primary care.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working within an MDT.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written, verbal, and particularly listening.
  7. A clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability.
  8. Experience of clinical leadership and service development based on dynamic needs assessments.
  9. Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
Desirable:
  1. Experience and a qualification in delivering women's health (e.g. DRCOG).
  2. Experience in corporate healthcare and occupational medicine (e.g. Dip Occ Med).
