Join Our Team as an On Call Doctor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced On Call Doctor to provide high-quality medical care to our patients at Cygnet Hospital Woking. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing on-call cover to our well-established Psychiatry Teams, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the ward is aware of contact arrangements and that they are always in place.
  • Respond immediately to contact from the ward and be available to travel to the hospital.
  • Assess, examine, and initiate management of every admission, maintaining high professional standards.
  • Keep clinical records to a satisfactory standard.
  • Report clinically to the responsible clinician and the Medical Director.
  • Prescribe and review medication under the supervision of the relevant Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Maintain good communication with the multi-disciplinary team and nursing staff.
  • Ensure that the wards are not left without medical cover at any time during the duty period.
