Operations are crucial to the success of Amazon. Effective management ensures that products are processed and delivered to customers efficiently.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will gain insight into the various components of operations and contribute to the seamless functioning of our processes.


Your role will involve being the primary contact for team members during their shifts, guiding them to adhere to the established protocols set by management.

This position is hands-on, providing you with the opportunity to engage with the tools and systems that drive our operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and oversee workflows, monitor onsite performance, and relay essential shift information to management to ensure operational excellence.
  • Train and support employees to deliver exceptional service while supervising their daily activities.
  • Collaborate with the Shift/Area Manager on initiatives to enhance processes, foster a safe work environment, and boost employee engagement.
  • Partner with other departments to identify solutions for common challenges or support requirements in key performance areas.
  • Utilize data analysis to discover opportunities for improving safety, quality, and productivity.
A Day in the Life
You will assist your Shift/Area Manager in executing the shift plan.

This includes facilitating pre-shift meetings with your team and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and daily priorities.


Any issues you identify will be escalated to your manager, but at times, you may be the most senior person on duty, providing guidance to ensure task completion.

Additionally, you will support your Shift/Area Manager in planning shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak periods.

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, is responsible for 'last mile' delivery operations in collaboration with third-party distribution partners.

Our aim is to enhance the delivery experience for our customers and implement global solutions for our latest initiatives.

We operate with two distinct teams: our 'under the roof' associates who manage the processing of products for dispatch, and our 'on the road' personnel who work with Amazon Flex, a network of delivery contractors.

Each year, we strive to elevate customer experience through innovative delivery services while addressing industry-wide logistics challenges and reducing our carbon footprint.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency in the local language for both written and verbal communication.
  • Relevant experience in data analytics and using metrics to identify issues.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application, candidates with the following will be considered favorably:

  • Experience in stakeholder management and building professional relationships.
  • Background in an operational environment, such as logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Upper intermediate proficiency in English.
