Warehouse Operations Coordinator - Competitive Salary

Our client, a global manufacturing leader, is in search of a motivated Warehouse Operations Coordinator to enhance their logistics team.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in handheld scanning technologies and have prior experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

Experience in the metal sector, along with qualifications in FLT counterbalance and familiarity with Six Sigma, LEAN, or 5S methodologies, will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
● Mentor and develop team members alongside the senior operations supervisor.
● Lead investigations into team-related incidents, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and fostering a secure work environment.
● Assist in the development and management of continuous improvement initiatives.
● Oversee team performance to enhance productivity and safety measures.
● Organize warehouse operations to ensure timely and efficient task execution, including workforce planning and activity scheduling.
● Promote a culture prioritizing safety and continuous feedback.
● Ensure adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards, including training and compliance audits.
● Verify that all equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and machinery are safe and operational.
● Collaborate with QHSE teams to establish comprehensive risk assessments and safe work practices.
● Work closely with the senior operations supervisor to ensure effective communication aligns with organizational strategies, including briefings and updates.
● Optimize workforce allocation to maintain operational capacity and focus on value-added activities.
● Support the senior operations supervisor in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and sharing insights with the broader team.
● Maintain timely communication with relevant departments regarding factors affecting delivery timelines and identify areas for improvement.
● Implement and uphold 5S practices as a standard operating procedure.

Qualifications
● Relevant secondary education or equivalent experience.
● Preferred experience in Six Sigma, LEAN, or 5S methodologies.
● Familiarity with FLT Counterbalance, Side Loader, Overhead Crane, and Band Saw operations is desirable.
● Proficient in using handheld scanning devices.
● Previous experience in the metal industry is a plus.
● Proven track record in a leadership role within a manufacturing context.
● Strong people management capabilities.
