Position Overview

As a key player in our logistics operations, the Warehouse Manager will oversee a dynamic team within a leading international manufacturing firm. This role is designed for an ambitious individual eager to advance their career in warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor warehouse staff, focusing on their training and development in collaboration with HR, while ensuring adherence to performance management protocols.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into team-related incidents to promote a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure workplace at all times.
  • Drive the continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Manage team activities to enhance productivity and safety standards.
  • Organize and schedule warehouse operations efficiently, including workforce planning and resource allocation.

Operational Improvements

  • Support the execution of operational and logistical policies aimed at ongoing enhancements, including:
  • Site strategy for saw operations
  • Analysis of material flow
  • Forklift and crane operational strategies
  • Coordination and management of transportation logistics
  • Oversee material handling and coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage external contractors through the permit-to-work system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational challenges, taking ownership of issues and reporting them to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong educational background or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies is preferred.
  • Background in the metal industry is advantageous.
  • Minimum of three years in a management role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven people management capabilities.
