About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consumer PR Account Manager to join our dynamic team at McCann Birmingham. As a key member of our PR & Social team, you will play a crucial role in delivering sector-leading work for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute PR strategies to drive earned media results and meet client objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, media, and other stakeholders.
  • Create high-quality PR content, including press releases, media kits, and social media posts.
  • Lead on media relations, including regular sell-ins with key media and influencers.
  • Provide briefs for other departments and external service providers.
  • Manage account teams to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with other specialist teams across the agency to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Measure impact and report results to clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Established experience in consumer PR, ideally within the tourism, hospitality, home, and lifestyle sectors.
  • A strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and a keen eye for story.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, media, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A basic knowledge of digital and social media channels, including the latest trends and best practices.
