Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Lawyer to join our team at BCL Legal. As a key member of our in-house legal team, you will be responsible for advising on a wide range of commercial and employment matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Contracts: You will work closely with senior stakeholders and members of the UK sales team to draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders and the wider legal and commercial team to assist with new areas of business, including managing external lawyers in commercial, corporate, and employment matters.
  • Commercial Acumen: You will provide commercial advice to the business, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and working closely with the sales team to develop new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Contract Experience: You will have 1-2 years of qualified commercial contract experience, although newly qualified lawyers with good commercial contracts knowledge will be considered.
  • Business Acumen: You will have a strong understanding of commercial law and the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and members of the sales team.
