Senior Town Planner Opportunity in Oxford

Penguin Recruitment is excited to support a well-established Planning and Design Practice in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their team in Oxford (Abingdon).

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse caseload covering urban and rural sites, expanding your planning skills and contributing to the improvement of the built environment alongside an award-winning planning team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working on a varied caseload covering a range of development projects, including retirement, residential, and education sectors.
  2. Collaborating with the planning and design experts to deliver high-quality projects.
  3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Providing expert advice on planning and policy matters.
  5. Managing competing demands and prioritizing tasks to meet clients' expectations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  1. An RTPI-accredited planning qualification.
  2. Either holding or working towards chartered membership of the RTPI.
  3. A suitable level of experience to take on a Senior Town Planner role.
  4. A particular interest in working on environmental and planning aspects of major and minor development projects and policy studies.
  5. Excellent report writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Self-assurance and confidence, with a desire to develop your own client base and contribute to the prosperity of the Company.
