Role Overview: An exceptional opportunity exists to enhance educational achievements for children and youth.

As an Education Officer focusing on early childhood education, you will be an integral part of the central education team, facilitating the achievement of both national and local educational goals, as articulated in our vision statement: Our Children their Future.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in educational settings, particularly in primary and early years, alongside a proven track record of driving improvements in a leadership capacity. You should be a proficient educator and communicator, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Education Manager (Early Years) to support educational initiatives.
  • Engage in travel as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
  • Maintain flexibility regarding your work base, which can be office-based, remote, or a hybrid arrangement.

Important Notes for Applicants:

  • This position is not suitable for job sharing.
  • Registration with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) is mandatory for working with children.
  • The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order applies to this role.
