Criminal Department Solicitor

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Criminal Solicitors to join our well-established team at Browns Recruitment Group Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in criminal matters, including police stations and court proceedings.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, conducting thorough research and analysis of case facts, legal issues, and relevant legislation.
  • Draft legal documents, including correspondence, proofs, witness statements, and pleadings.
  • Conduct case preparation, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals within the criminal justice system.
  • Represent clients in Magistrates and Crown Courts, as well as other tribunals and appellate courts, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm requirements, including maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality protocols.

Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 2 years PQE in criminal law and duty solicitor accreditation. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are also required for travel to client meetings and court appearances.

We welcome applications from full-time or part-time candidates. Salary will be dependent upon qualification and experience.
