Key Responsibilities:


As the Outwards Reinsurance Accounting Manager at Aspen Insurance Group, you will be instrumental in supporting the Senior Management team across various functions.

Your proficiency in accounting principles and regulatory frameworks will be vital in executing a variety of high-value and complex accounting tasks.

You will oversee processes within your area of expertise while providing pertinent advice, guidance, and approvals in line with authority limits.

Your responsibilities will also encompass interpreting organizational objectives and regulatory mandates, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and risk management are prioritized.

- Contribute to the development of functional strategies and prioritize operational outcomes

- Oversee processes and workflows within the team to ensure precision, efficiency, and adherence to established standards

- Execute high-value and highly complex transactions within designated authority limits

- Monitor functional activities to guarantee compliance, efficiency, and risk management

- Utilize technical knowledge of relevant accounting principles such as GAAP to perform higher-value and complex accounting tasks

- Manage the evaluation and analysis of functional performance to assess progress towards business goals

Qualifications:
As an Outwards Reinsurance Accounting Manager, you possess extensive expertise in financial disciplines and overarching Finance strategies. Your technical grasp of service parameters and delegated authorities will be crucial for your success in this role. You have a thorough understanding of finance systems, processes, and tools pertinent to your field. Your specialized technical knowledge regarding legal and regulatory standards, including GAAP and FCA/Lloyds regulations, is essential. Additionally, you have a working knowledge of best practice accounting and regional accounting standards.

- Extensive expertise in financial disciplines and overarching Finance strategies

- Technical comprehension of service parameters and delegated authorities

- Thorough understanding of finance systems, processes, and tools relevant to your field

- Specialized technical knowledge concerning legal and regulatory standards, including GAAP and FCA/Lloyds regulations

- Working knowledge of best practice accounting and regional accounting standards

- Insight into the market in which the company operates and London Market Operations (Lloyds, IUA, LPSO, LPC, etc.)
