About Aberlour Child Care Trust
Aberlour Child Care Trust is a community-oriented organization dedicated to supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. We provide a range of services including residential care, short breaks, family-centered support, and community assistance tailored to the unique needs of each young person.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking dedicated Youth Support Practitioners for permanent roles. We have opportunities for one individual to work 20 hours and another for 35 hours per week. Our team operates on a schedule that allows for no more than four consecutive working days followed by a day off, with every second weekend free. Rotas are designed to prioritize the needs of the young people we serve while ensuring the well-being of our staff. Late shifts run from 2 PM to 10 PM, and early shifts from 7:30 AM to 2 PM. Overnight sleep-ins are part of the role, complemented by an awake night staff member. Please note that shifts may vary based on service requirements.
Candidates should possess a variety of qualities, including playfulness, warmth, and acceptance, and must be able to adjust their approach to meet the diverse needs of each young person. This role presents challenges but is also incredibly rewarding, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth in understanding the needs of children and young individuals with disabilities.

Ideally, candidates will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, or be willing to pursue this requirement in accordance with SSSC registration.
