The Role: Substance Use Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Recovery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding individuals on their journey to recovery.

  • Client Support and Engagement: You will actively support clients in re-engaging with treatment services, ensuring they receive the necessary care and guidance throughout their recovery process.
  • Positive Outcomes: Your efforts will contribute to reducing unsuccessful discharges and fostering positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Service Delivery: You will deliver exceptional substance misuse services to individuals and their support networks, including family members, friends, and carers, facilitating a supportive environment for recovery.
  • Case Management: You will manage a caseload, coordinating assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), developing recovery plans, and providing aftercare planning.
  • Collaboration: You will work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Community Engagement: You will support volunteers, peer mentors, and service user representatives, empowering them to actively participate in our services.
  • Group Facilitation: You will co-facilitate SMART Recovery Groups and Recovery Cafés, providing a supportive space for individuals to connect and share their experiences.
